Evil Desires

There is so much advice available to people who want to make changes in their life.  To be honest, some of it is simply useless.  But then, there are truths that, when applied well, bring us closer to what life was meant to be.  Especially truth about evil desire, one of those things worth letting go.

Earthly Things

There are all kinds of things we cling to in life, but many of them can actually get in the way of growing in faith. While ‘earthly things’ are by no means bad in and of themselves, we all know from experience that they can be incredible distractions from faithful living when our minds are set on them instead of on God.

The Idolization of Family

Families are an important part of the fabric of our culture, and as a result, deserve our attention and investment. But on a weekend when romantic love and family life are being celebrated, we’re going to stretch our thinking a little bit and question whether we might be missing out on something that the earliest followers of Jesus seemed to understand about who we consider ‘family.’
