The Day of Pentecost

It may not pack the same punch as Christmas or Easter, but this particular date on the calendar holds so much significance for what it means for us to live by faith. Hopefully a look back will inspire the place we invite God to have in our lives moving forward. (Brandon Malo speaking)

Readings: Numbers 11:24-30; Psalm 104:24-34, 35b; 1 Corinthians 12:3b-13; Acts 2:1-21; John 20:19-23

Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh My!

In the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy chants this fearful phrase at the prospect of what lies ahead of her in the “haunted forest.” We all face things that will intimidate us, but we are called to stand firm in our faith as we resist an enemy who is seeking to get the best of us. (Brandon Malo speaking)

Readings: Acts 1:6-14; Psalm 68:1-10, 32-35; 1 Peter 4:12-14; 5:6-11; John 17:1-11
