The Kingdom of Heaven

Before any of us get too far along this journey of following Jesus together, it’s important that we develop an accurate understanding of what it is we’re supposed to be doing. Jesus came on the scene like a great light shining in a land of deep darkness, and the announcement he made as he went from town to town continues to be significantly good news. Telling Your Story

In this week’s Psalm, David recalls all that God has done for him and points out how he has spread the story of God’s faithfulness to everyone around him. It’s a reminder to us of the need to both reflect on how God has come to us and to share our story with anyone who will lend an ear. (Brandon Malo speaking)

Readings: Isaiah 49:1-7; Psalm 40:1-11; 1 Corinthians 1:1-9; John 1:29-42

Welcoming and Inviting

Over the next several months, the leadership of Elevation will be spending time exploring what it means for us to be a Welcoming and Inviting church. As we read about how the good news of Jesus first began to spread, let’s pay attention to the broadening reach of God’s love. (Brandon Malo speaking)

This morning, we will hear from our mission partner, Nikki Horne, and will consider what happens to our lives when the light of the world breaks in. (Brandon Malo speaking)
